Do you trust yourself? A key to self-expression, fulfillment and powerful decision-making
I remember in college how I first discovered that I had no idea what I wanted or truly who I was for that matter. I changed my major three times and I didn't even know what clothes I liked-I just wore what everyone else wore and what I'd always worn!
It wasn't until I was in my early thirties that I discovered what kind of clothing I loved-clothes that felt like a form of self-expression instead of one...

Are You Carrying Someone Else's Burden? A Sneaky Energy Drain
It seems safe to say we all want to feel good. We want to feel healthy and energized, to have a sense of peace and vitality in our lives.
Whether we're aware of it or not, managing our energy is an art form. It's no accident the days that we have high energy or low energy, the blues or bliss- it all gets created by a number of factors, many of which are within our control.
One factor that is particularly sneaky that I want t...

Let Your Rhythm Guide You to a Life You Love
If I were to boil down a frequent root theme of what gets in the way of living a life you love, it would likely be making choices that don't align with your truest, deepest rhythm of life. You somehow find yourself swept up in the rhythm of everyone else's lives, society, the grind, being over-committed and voila, your life is shaped by happenstance rather than intention. And then as a result, it isn't necessarily a life you'd say you love.

Endings into Beginnings A Powerful Key to the Natural Flow of Life
To everything there is a season, a beginning and an ending. Life is an ever-evolving kaleidoscope of experiences, choices, successes and celebrations, as well as defeats and disappointments, with little permanency.
Sometimes we move into endings kicking and screaming and other times we sprint towards the finish line, aching to be complete with our toiling.
Endings are incredibly powerful times of life, potentially...

As I was walking my dogs just now I got to wondering, “How much can I enjoy this moment? How much can I delight in what I’m doing right now and be no where else but here?”I got to thinking how I know one day soon I will yearn for this kind of beautiful afternoon. One day I will yearn for the jingling of two collars as we stroll along with the occasional yank. One day I will yearn to have access to the peace that I have access to now.And so in this moment I choose to be all here,...

The Greatest Gift: What you can give yourself and others for a Powerful Holiday season
Happy belated Halloween! It seems that Halloween, for many, acts as the official holiday season kickoff, thus causing varying emotions and reactions--from stress, to excitement, to melancholy. With all our emotions, combined with all the emotions everyone else has, there is often palpable tension in the air. How fun is that? Not.
This sets us up for feeling disconnected from our true selves, our innat...

Do Less: The quickest way to fulfillment and contribution
**Please know that though today's message is very direct, it is written from a place of love: )
Ask people how they are, and nearly every person says "Oh I've been SO busy!" It is the new norm. Unfortunately.
As driven women, one of the greatest challenges my clients face is that they are always in high demand, scheduled to the brim and often finding themselves working incredibly long days, with little time for respite.

A Deeper Freedom Rising Above Circumstance to Live Your Vision
A definition of Freedom it goes something like this:
1. the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.
2. exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc.
3. the power to determine action without restraint.
We are incredibly fortunate to have our freedom politically-to be able to express ourselves and make all kinds of choices about how to live our lives...

The Gift of Receiving An Essential Element of Flow
Recently there was a lovely, talented woman I spoke to who was struggling with a really difficult, stressful week. Ironically, the week was tough because she'd received praise! The praise brought up both a sense of pressure to continue performing at an exceptional level, and concern that her praise might take away from other equally deserving co-workers receiving recognition. It was just really uncomfortable to receive praise...

When Perfection is a Mistake Redefine it. Reclaim energy.
If you have been a subscriber for a while (or even 2 weeks) you know without a doubt that I’m human. I’m absolutely not error-free. Though I wish at times I didn’t have public “Oops” moments, it is just part of putting myself and passions out there...I’m bound to flub up now and then.
As I write this I realize the problem is not necessarily the idea of perfection, rather how we define it.

Recently I watched the movie, Man On Wire - a fascinating story about a man, Phillippe Petit, who is wild about pushing boundaries, as well as exploring the remarkable blend of risk and art. In August 1974 he tightrope walked (danced really) between the twin towers of the World Trade Center, some 1,300 ft off the ground.
Amazing? Outrageous? Or slightly insane? I suspect it's somewhere in between, as often is the case when one taps into their passion. Historically we may not realize someo...

The Cherishing For whatever reason, one of my all time favorite things is to hear the crickets at night. There's something about it that makes my heart sing. Motivation: Inspiration vs. Fear
In motivation there are a couple schools of thought — Inspiration/ Benefits: “I know that ‘blah blah blah’ is good for me and will cause me to feel x, y and z so I will do it.” We see a possibility, the possibility gets us excited for what might be in our lives and voila- we're in action! Maybe you meet a person or see a show or attend a class and it gets you in motion. These are all examples of motivation through inspiration.
