I used to write "my version" of poetry all the time but I've been out of practice.  The past couple days I've gotten inspired again so I thought I'd share...

Snow Dust Morning

White snow dusting the chocolate brown branches backed by a silver blue sky
So quiet whispering a gentle good morning
The stillness of snow eases into my heart
Making me want to pull up the covers for one more turn
It is a necessary yield to the frenetic pace of recent warm days
An essential pause in a too fast world
Though the very beginnings of buds press forth,
the trees rejoice the snow too- a deep nourishing, they sing a silent celebration
Quiet homes, quiet roads, quiet nature
We all slowly, gently join this peaceful snow dust morning
