One Small Step at a Time

Posted by Robin Berg on Wednesday, March 31, 2010, In : Strategies
When you dream big dreams, and KNOW that you have gifts that you wish to bring to light in your life, it is easy to slip into overwhelm.

It's not about a one-day transformation, rather a gradual unfolding.  Think of a fern that grows in the doesn't go from seed to full-grown fern in a day--it is a slow development and opening.

It's easy to get overwhelmed when we're facing our big dreams.  All I can do in those moments is keep my eye on the end game and set my 30 minute timer for ...

Listen To Your Body
August 2001

How Your Body Communicates
Our bodies are constantly sending us messages, information, asking for help, guiding us. Be it through cravings, aches and pains or illness, it speaks. When you have a craving, there is a reason.

If you crave desserts or “comfort food”, it could be part physical and part emotional. You may be hooked on sugar and your body calls out when insulin levels are dragging or you may really be craving love, affection, the n...

Balancing Your Mood: Part 1- Food-- October 2001

Balancing Your Mood: Part 1, Food
October 2001

You’re In Charge of Your Mood
I never used to think about my mood. I took it for granted that a mood simply was. Now I realize that most of my emotions, energy highs and lows correlate with my food, thinking patterns, and exercise. The trick is taking responsibility and knowing that I can control my mood.

As the seasons change and daylight decreases, we may want to curl up nightly in a comfy chair with a good book and a pint of ice cream. Transitio...

Slow Down to Success- July 2001

Posted by Robin Berg on Monday, March 22, 2010, In : Balance

As I move my former newsletters over, there are always great reminders here for me too...I'm not always in a great habit with my meal "tempo" of late.  Enjoy!

Slow Down to Success
July 2001
So Much to Do, So Little Time
Always running from place to place, we are constantly on the go. We are in such a hurry that we are often only thinking about what is next, rather than living now.

Consider what it would be like do less with more quality.

Walk Slower
Instead of rushing to work, set your alarm to wa...

A New Season- Time to Spring Cleanse- April 2001

A New Season — Time to Spring Cleanse!

April 2001
Spring is a natural time of renewal and growth. It energizes and motivates us. A great way to support this natural movement toward growth and change is to clear out or “cleanse” various parts of our lives. This creates space for new opportunities as well as simplicity that reduces stress.

What relationships are due for a tune-up or release? Unresolved anger, frustration, fear, sadness, etc. is damaging to us physically ...

Celebration of the New Launch!

Posted by Robin Berg on Tuesday, March 16, 2010, In : New Beginnings
Well, I can hardly put into words my excitement of sharing my new and improved website with all of you!  It's been roughly a 12 month process of getting the itch to change, brainstorming, recreating, gestation (4 weeks simply trying to come up with the name--- pages of words in my journal!), and finally BIRTH!

I feel shaky and a little woozy-- it makes a girl feel downright naked to share a deeper layer of herself with the world, but hey, you've gotta take risks if you want a life you love, ri...

A Fulfilling Life: A Fully Present Moment

A Fulfilling Life: A Fully Present Moment

It always seems that when I reach middle of the month I have repeated moments of shock—about how I cannot believe that the month is already half over.  There’s a sense of sadness in a way, that time is flying by, and that I want to slow things down, enjoy more, experience more great moments, and instead feel a sense of contentment when it is the 15th—as though there’s nothing I would change.

This morning I went outside for my morning ritu...

A Return to Balance: Cultivate Support

It is so easy to get in the routine of life's daily "To-Do's" and constant sense of being short on time.  As a result, innumerable things fall to the wayside-the things that seem non-essential or like indulgences.  One of those misplaced elements is often cultivating support.

Cultivating support means a myriad of things and is similar to prepping a garden so that it can flourish.  One component of support is relationships.  Though independence and...
