In the midst of the mud...

On the way to school with Levi, there was all this mud from road work.
My first thought was “oh what a mess!”, until he pointed out that it was all frozen. When I took a closer look I was stunned.

So beautiful. ✨

It was a great reminder and metaphor for life… Even when our first response is to think something is a mess, chances are good there is beauty in it somewhere if we slow down and take a closer look.
