Many people would easily choose to take a physical risk- like a Black Diamond ski run or parachuting. But often it's a different kind of risk that really challenges us towards our fulfillment.

Hooray for May! I’m definitely experiencing a sense of time moving quickly these days which is a good indicator that it’s time to get out in nature.
There’s something very equalizing about immersing in open space where there is a silent, subtle and innate rhythm. It resets me and helps me remember my own rhythm, rather than a schedule-driven rhythm of urban business.
Hooray---very soon I’ll be able to spend a few days in the midst of a big open field where the air is clear, there’... Continue reading ...

Creating Space for Success and Vitality Cause and Effect
There's nothing quite so decadent to me as the rich, robust flavor of an uber dark chocolate-I'm talking 72-90% + cacao. That dark slightly bitter combined with the creamy texture as it melts, followed by the deep version of other sweetness.
I know...
It may be wrong to love an inanimate object, but I simply can't help myself. I adore dark chocolate.
As many of you know, I recently uncovered some pretty major food allergies. In ...

When Perfection is a Mistake Redefine it. Reclaim energy.
If you have been a subscriber for a while (or even 2 weeks) you know without a doubt that I’m human. I’m absolutely not error-free. Though I wish at times I didn’t have public “Oops” moments, it is just part of putting myself and passions out there...I’m bound to flub up now and then.
As I write this I realize the problem is not necessarily the idea of perfection, rather how we define it.

Here's this month's v-zine-- (Video e-zine)
**What I neglected to mention in the video is that when we are gathering information, a key piece is testing that information whenever possible. As my hubby Todd would say, "Data is your friend." (I laugh and at the same time acknowledge it is true...though I've never been a data girl...ironic.)
Thanks to Todd I went the whole nine yards to gain new understanding of what's up in my body which completely helped deliver a long unanswered "Why" to so ...

Be the Expression of Hope Lighting the way
It's no secret that our country has been going through something major for a while. More and more people are getting drawn into the black hole of despair. I urge you, choose hope.
Two people can navigate identical life circumstances and have completely different experiences and outcomes. In truth, it is a choice. One person may go through a dramatic change that feels like life is over as she knows it-- going through the drudgery of the day, feel...

Letting the Light In Part one...
Independence vs. Isolation American culture today emphasizes privacy, independence, busy lives, and technology, with less focus on community. Rare are the block parties, bringing together an entire neighborhood. Many of us have potentially isolating daily routines.
Get up, go to work, (likely commute alone), work in your cubicle or office, eat lunch (sometimes at your desk or in the car), go home. Maybe you live with a spouse, significant other, family, pets; ...

Recently I watched the movie, Man On Wire - a fascinating story about a man, Phillippe Petit, who is wild about pushing boundaries, as well as exploring the remarkable blend of risk and art. In August 1974 he tightrope walked (danced really) between the twin towers of the World Trade Center, some 1,300 ft off the ground.
Amazing? Outrageous? Or slightly insane? I suspect it's somewhere in between, as often is the case when one taps into their passion. Historically we may not realize someo...

If You Knew It Was the Last Time... What Would You Do Differently?
The Cherishing For whatever reason, one of my all time favorite things is to hear the crickets at night. There's something about it that makes my heart sing. I'm not sure if it's because it reminds me of camp, how I love summer, or that I just feel close to nature. Whatever the case, I delight when I hear the first chirp of the season. I'm not sure why, but this year I paid close attention, determined to mark the final day ...

A little while back I invited you to make a list of at least 20 things that bring you joy. If you haven't done it yet, take a few minutes and try it now!
A Deeper Look… A way to enhance this exercise is to go back over your list and determine what it is about that item that makes you so happy. (i.e. My yoga brings me joy because I feel energized, relaxed and it often makes a difference in people’s lives. Watching sunrises and sunsets makes me feel spiritual, as if witnessing a miracle eve...

Growth- Break Through to Your Potential--Dec 03 Part One
Growth Reaching down to the depths of the soul, growth challenges us to expand. Perhaps it is the leap of faith for a new career opportunity, home, city or relationship. Perhaps it is the closing of one door and the opening of another. Growth stretches us to our limits, at times more than we feel capable. Growth can be exciting, scary, painful, uplifting or sad. It can appear as loss or as a powerful addition to your life.
